P.S.

If you are watching me, what do you have to hide that you don't want anyone else to know about?

Stalkers Beware!

The thing about stalking is that it is unnerving and hard to prove.  Why do you think I stick so closely to a routine on most days?  Because of the situation I'm in! However, where I live, there are cameras in the front entrance outside, in the foyer, outside the elevators in the lobby, and at both side entrances, and on stairwells on either side of my apartment building. You'd think people would smarten up. Unfortunately, I noticed a similar behavior on the boardwalk at Ocean Beach today, where I plan to walk and frequent the place for the rest of my life, God willing! I've often seen him; a tall, skinny man in a tan coat with a hood pulled up over his head.  Today, it was obvious that I was being followed.  And I did the smart thing. (Gold car, 684 LAU) It might not be anything, but he fled the scene pretty fast. "If you can read this, U R standing much too close."

Reap What You Sow

"...that which you sow, you shall also reap." At this late age of 48, I am finally enjoying a modicum of success with my God-given talents in writing and art.  I haven't been able to make a living at either talent so far, but I often joke that I have a wish to be, not rich, but famous!  Fame can mean different things for different people.  But without a support system of family and friends and a stable home where you feel safe, protected, and loved; the enticements of fame & riches & the Big City can get the best of you. (See Lindsey Lohan, a lost soul, and Britney Spears, sweet soul with a "stage mom." Did you know her mother actually wrote a book about her own daughter? and probably got rich off of it? It was actually her father who saved her!)  In a past not so pleasant relationship, I was often told that because I "went to college to party," and continued the party into New York in the late 80s..."the reason you're in the situation you're in is because you moved to New York and that was a mistake." I worked my way through college, majoring in English and moved to NYC to become a writer.  I didn't have clear goals. I moved to New York with only my big blue suitcase and three hundred dollars in my pocket, as well as a student loan owed to Eastern Connecticut State University (which has since been PAID IN FULL by me). I moved to New York with dreams of making it big as a writer.  And I got the Big Story.  Since I've moved back home to Connecticut, the stories have accumulated.  How can they not when you call your home "News London!"  I often joke, "Anything for a good story." But the price I've paid is the lack of material success, a nest egg for a rainy day, and the chance to start my own family (when the realization struck me at age 40, I became very depressed and would often cry from the time I woke up in the morning until the time I went to bed at night, usually suffering from insomnia).  So...why don't you....step outside that lens, my friend? And capsize, with all the lies that you've been living in?....I often wonder where I would be today if I hadn't extended a chance invitation to a friend: "Hey. Do you wanna go out to Ocean Pizza?" that fateful winter day in 2001...Who is that stranger in your midst? And how much longer are you going to ignore her? (REMEMBER: "That which you sow, you shall also reap.") "I've got to see this movie. I've got to see it; I've got to see it! Are we going? We're going; aren't we?  If we don't go, I'm going to be mad!!!...* * * :) COMING SOON...to Niantic Cinemas.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year!

I would like to take the time out today to thank all of my faithful Readers, since May 2008, and those of you who arrived at my site later and have followed me through to the end.  Stay with me! Up Next I promise to bring you the CONCLUSION: By Accident to "Fool's Gold," my novel about my life in New York City in the late 1980s.  For more info, go to: http://novelnewyorkcity1987.blogspot.com/
Danger becomes her? What would I do without it? Who would I be? Would I be bored? Would I run out of things to write about?  And will I ever feel truly safe? Is anyone safe these days? Stay tuned and I promise to have the dramatic conclusion out to you by...tomorrow?
Life is tough, but I'm tougher! But not without my Guardian Angels, here on Earth and My One in Heaven! ("I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.") At this time, I would like to offer my congrats to those of you who have been lucky enough to find love, in one form or another. Just in time for Christmas! First comes Christian Duty to help others in need...then Health, then Success, then the hot new place, then "mi caro nuevo..." Are we there yet???... * * * :)
